A method for quantitating PGD synthase in a biological sample comprising (a) reacting the sample with an antibody specific for PGD synthase which is directly or indirectly labelled with an enzyme; (b) adding a substrate for the enzyme wherein the substrate is selected so that the substrate, or a reaction product of the enzyme and substrate, forms fluorescent complexes with lanthanide metal; (c) adding a lanthanide metal; and (d) quantitating PGD synthase in the sample by measuring fluorescence of the fluorescent complexes.

Une méthode pour quantifier la PGD-synthase dans un échantillon biologique comprenant les étapes suivantes : a) faire réagir l'échantillon avec un anticorps spécifique de la PGD-synthase qui est directement ou indirectement marqué avec une enzyme; b) ajouter un substrat pour l'enzyme, lequel substrat est choisi de manière que le substrat, ou un produit de réaction de l'enzyme et du substrat, forme des complexes fluorescents avec un métal de la série des lanthanides; c) ajouter un métal de la série des lanthanides; et d) quantifier la PGD-synthase dans l'échantillon en mesurant la fluorescence des complexes fluorescents.
