The invention relates to a method and a device for the treatment of a syngas. According to the invention, this method comprises the following steps: a plasma cone (4) is generated from a non-transferred-arc plasma torch (3) having a main axis, this cone having a propagation axis (5) substantially collinear with the main axis of said torch, the latter being mounted on a feed chamber (1); the syngas arrives by at least one input port (7) of the feed chamber (1), this input port (7) being placed downstream of the plasma torch (3); this syngas is fed in so that the stream of syngas at least partly encounters the plasma cone (4), so as to ensure that the syngas and the plasma cone (4) mix; this mixture propagates along an elongate reactor (2) placed downstream of the inlet port (7) in order to convert the syngas into an output gas, the upstream part of this reactor communicating with the feed chamber (1) and having a longitudinal axis substantially collinear with the propagation axis of the plasma cone (4); and the output gas is extracted via an output port (10).
L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif de traitement d'un gaz de synthèse. Selon l'invention, ce procédé comprend les étapes suivantes : - générer un dard plasma (4) à partir d'une torche plasma (3) à arc non transféré ayant un axe principal, ce dard ayant un axe de propagation (5) sensiblement colinéaire avec l'axe principal de ladite torche, cette dernière étant montée sur une enceinte d'introduction (1), - recevoir le gaz de synthèse à au moins un port d'entrée (7) de l'enceinte d'introduction (1), ce port d'entrée (7) étant placé en aval de la torche plasma (3), et introduire ce gaz de synthèse de sorte que le flux de gaz de synthèse rencontre au moins partiellement le dard plasma (4) pour assurer le mélange du gaz de synthèse et du dard plasma (4), - propager ce mélange dans un réacteur (2) allongé placé en aval du port d'entrée (7) pour convertir le gaz de synthèse en un gaz de sortie, ce réacteur étant en communication dans sa partie amont avec l'enceinte d'introduction (1) et ayant un axe longitudinal sensiblement colinéaire avec l'axe de propagation du dard plasma (4), et extraire le gaz de sortie par un port de sortie (10).
