Amine ethers of sterically hindered amines are obtained in good yield from the corresponding N-oxyl hindered amine precursor by reaction with a hydrocarbon in the presence of an organic hydroperoxide and an iodide. The products of present process find utility as polymerization regulators and/or light stabilizers for organic material.

L'invention concerne l'obtention, avec un bon rendement, d'éthers d'amines stériquement encombrées à partir d'un précurseur correspondant N-oxyle d'amine, encombrée stériquement, mis en réaction avec un hydrocarbure en présence d'un hydroperoxyde organique et d'un iodure. Les produits de ce procédé sont utiles en tant que régulateurs de polymérisation et/ou agents de stabilisation pour des matériaux organiques.
