- 13 - ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An artificial fishing lure has an elongate head portion connectable to a fishing line and has a fluid deflector for submerging the lure as it moves through water. Connected to the head portion is an elongate tail portion formed of flexible elastomeric material. The head portion is formed of a relatively stiffer, non-deformable material so that upon moving the lure through water, the tail portion oscillates relative to the head portion.
