An infusion pump (10) for dispensing fluid from a syringe (22) having a barrel (24) and a plunger (26) slidably inserted into the barrel (24), is disclosed. The infusion pump (10) provides a housing (12) having a bracket (18) which supports the barrel (24). A syringe driver (20) is movably attached to the housing (12) such that the syringe driver (20) abuts the plunger (26) to slide the plunger (26) into the barrel (24). A sensor is provided for sensing both the position of the plunger (26) to the barrel (24) and the capture of the plunger (26) in the syringe driver (20). Control circuitry is electrically connected to the sensor for determining the capture and position of the plunger (26). The sensor comprises a potentiometer (46) attached to the housing (12) and electrically connected to the control circuitry. The sensor further comprises a wiper (44) supported by the syringe driver (20). The wiper (44) operatively contacts the potentiometer (46) such that the control circuitry receives an output signal from the potentiometer to determine the position of the plunger (26) and the capture of the syringe driver (20) in the plunger (26).
L'invention concerne une pompe à perfusion (10) servant à administrer un liquide depuis une seringue (22) possédant un cylindre (24) et un plongeur (26) glissé à l'intérieur du cylindre (24). La pompe à perfusion (10) possède un boîtier (12) pourvu d'un élément de support (18) du cylindre (24). Un élément de commande (20) de seringue est fixé mobile au boîtier (12), de manière à venir en butée contre le plongeur (26), afin de glisser ce dernier à l'intérieur du cylindre (24). Un détecteur permet de détecter à la fois la position du plongeur (26) par rapport au cylindre (24) et la capture du plongeur (26) dans l'élément de commande (20) de la seringue. Un circuit de commande est couplé au détecteur, afin de déterminer la capture et la position du plongeur (26). Ce détecteur comprend un potentiomètre (46) fixé au boîtier (12) et couplé au circuit de commande. Le détecteur comprend, de plus, une came (44) supportée par l'élément de commande (20) de seringue. Cette came (44) vient en contact avec le potentiomètre (46), de façon que le circuit de commande reçoit un signal de sortie depuis le potentiomètre, afin de déterminer la position du plongeur (26) et la capture de l'élément de commande (20) de la seringue dans le plongeur (26).
