A fabric for the forming, press and dryer sections of a paper machine, for use as a reinforcing base for a polymeric-resin-coated paper-processing belt or as a corrugator belt, or in other industrial settings where a material is being dewatered, is formed from a monofilament yarn, which is spirally wound in the form of a closed helix, adjacent turns thereof being abutted against and joined securely to one another. The monofilament yarn has a first side and a second side which are oppositely and correspondingly shaped. The monofilament yarn being spirally wound in a plurality of turn wherein its first side fits into its second side of an adjacent abutting spiral turn. The fibre of the invention is free of sheet marking and its manufacturing process is easily scalable and can be streamlined.
L'invention concerne un tissu destiné aux sections de formage, presse et séchage d'une machine à papier, servant de base de renforcement à une courroie de traitement de papier revêtue de résine polymérique, ou destiné à servir de courroie pour machine à onduler, ou à être utilisé dans d'autres processus industriels dans lesquels un matériau est égoutté. Le tissu est formé à partir d'un fil monofilament (16) enroulé en spirale sous forme d'hélice fermée (26) dont les spires adjacentes sont en contact étroit et solidement fixées les unes aux autres. Le fil monofilament comprend un premier côté et un second côté opposés et correspondants. Lorsque le fil est enroulé en spirale en plusieurs spires, le premier côté s'adapte étroitement au second côté d'une spire adjacente et en contact direct, et des spires en spirale adjacentes sont fixées les unes aux autre au niveau du premier et du second côté adjacents de manière à former le tissu.
