ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A relatively simple device for sensing deflation of a vehicle tire, e.g. a trailer tire includes an electrically conductive tube defining a casing with a synthetic resin plug in one end thereof carrying a resilient, conductive rod, which normally is mounted on the vehicle axle so that a deflating tire would cause the rod to contact the road surface and also into contact with the tube. The tube and rod define a switch in any electrical circuit including a source of power and a signal device, e.g. a buzzer or dashboard light, so that closing of the switch results in generation of a signal indicating a flat tire.
