A mixing reactor for mixing efficiently streams of fluids of differing densities. In a preferred embodiment, one of the fluids is supercritical water, and the other is an aqueous salt solution. Thus, the reactor enables the production of metal oxide nanoparticles as a continuous process, without any risk of the reactor blocking due to the inefficient mixing inherent in existing reactor designs.

La présente invention a trait à un réacteur de mélange permettant le mélange efficace de flux de fluides de densités différentes. Dans un mode de réalisation préféré, un des fluides est de l'eau à l'état supercritique, et l'autre est une solution de sel aqueuse. Ainsi, le réacteur permet la production de nanoparticules d'oxyde métallique sous la forme d'un procédé continu, sans aucun risque de blocage du réacteur dû à un mélange inefficace intrinsèque aux modèles de réacteur existants. L'invention a également trait à des procédés d'obtention de diverses nanoparticules métalliques mettant en oeuvre ledit réacteur ainsi qu'à des particules obtenues par ces procédés.
