Described is a sports shoe with a sole which includes a flexurally stiff girder section (1) extending essentially over the whole of the sole. The cross-section of the girder section exhibits at least one horizontal zone and at least two zones (1w, 1s) located on each side of the horizontal zone and extending essentially at right angles downwards and/or upwards, both shell-upper components (6, 9) and sole-plate parts (5, 8, 15, 16) being attached to the girder section (1).
