PF-1472 SPONGE COLLECTION DEVICE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A sponge collection device comprising, a backing sheet of flexible material, and a plurality of pockets progressively disposed on the backing sheet. The pockets comprise a flap of flexible material having side portions of the flap being joined to the backing sheet, and a lower portion of the flap being joined to the backing sheet intermediate the joined side portions of the flap. An upper edge of the flap defines an opening inter- mediate the flap and backing sheet to receive sponges. A divid- ing portion of the flap is permanently joined to the backing sheet, with the dividing portion comprising a region of the flap located generally centrally between the side portions of the flap, and located a distance slightly above the lower portion of the flap.
