Pour permettre le raccordement d'un câble électrique (12) dans un élément d'extrémité (10) présentant une surface extérieure partiellement tronconique, il est proposé un outil de sertissage comprenant une pince de préhension (50) et une filière de sertissage (60). Lorsque l'élément (10) à sertir a été placé dans un évidement (48), un actionnement de l'outil a pour effet la préhension de l'élément (10) par la pince (50), la fermeture de la filière (60), puis l'application d'une traction sur l'élément d'extrémité, par la pince (50), de façon à faire traverser la filière par cet élément. La filière (60) s'ouvre ensuite automatiquement et reste ouverte jusqu'au retour de l'outil en position de repos.
