PATENT ON AN INVENTION ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The subjects of the present invention are submersible electro-acoustic transducers and manufacturing processes for these transducers. A transducer according to the invention contains, in a cylindrical casing (3), a first stack of piezo-electric plates (6), a second stack of piezo-electric plates (7) coaxial with the first stack. It contains a cone (1) and a counter-weight (2). It contains a rigid component (8) which is interposed between the first and second stacks. The first end A of the first stack is in contact with a contact surface (1A) on the cone. The first end (D) of the second stack is in contact with the contact surface (2A) on the counter-weight. The second ends (B and C) of the two stacks are in contact with the contact surfaces (81 and 82) of the intermediate component. One application is the construction of submersible electro- acoustic transducers with a high power per unit volume. Fig. 1.
