It is intended to provide a method of preparing a mammalian organ, in particular, kidney to be transplanted. A means of autotransplantation of a recipient's own organ, in particular, kidney characterized by comprising collecting mesenchymal stem cells of the recipient, transplanting the cells into a desired site of an embryo in a pregnant mammalian host or an embryo separated from a pregnant mammalian host to thereby induce differentiation, and then returning an organ thus developed into the recipient.
