A support tower (20) for large structures such as wind turbines generators, microwave structures, high voltage transmission lines or the like, constructed of telescopic sections (30, 44, 80) with the lowermost section having an edge portion pivotally connected to a foundation (26) to enable the tower sections to be transported to the site of installation. The tower sections are assembled at the installation site in a nested relationship, each within the adjacent lower tower section. The large load is mounted on the upper end of the uppermost tower section and the nested tower sections are then tilted upwardly to a vertical position. After the tower is tilted to its vertical position and securely connected to the foundation, the telescopic tower sections are vertically extended to position the load in a vertically elevated position.
L'invention concerne un pylône support (20) destiné à des grandes structures, telles que des aérogénérateurs, des structures à micro-ondes, des lignes de transmission haute tension ou similaires, constitué de sections télescopiques (30, 44, 80), la section inférieure comportant une partie périphérique reliée pivotante à une fondation (26), ce qui permet de transporter les sections de pylône sur le site d'installation. Les sections de pylône sont assemblées sur le site d'installation par emboîtement de chaque section dans la section adjacente inférieure. La grande charge est montée sur l'extrémité supérieure de la section de pylône supérieure, puis les sections de pylône emboîtées sont relevées jusqu'à une position verticale. Une fois le pylône relevé en position verticale et relié de manière sûre à la fondation, les sections télescopiques sont déployées verticalement de façon à placer la charge à une position élevée verticalement.
