It is intended to provide a novel amyloid protein (a human mutated amyloid protein) which is useful as, for example, an antigen molecule for improving a vaccine therapy. This human mutated amyloid protein is a protein which lacks Glu at the 22-position, Ala at the 21-position or Asp at the 23-position in a normal (wild type) amyloid protein consisting of 40, 42 or 43 amino acids (A.beta.1-40, A.beta.1-42 or A.beta.1-43) respectively.

La présente invention a pour objet une nouvelle protéine d'amyloïde (une protéine d'amyloïde humaine mutante) qui peut être par exemple employée en tant que molécule antigène pour améliorer une thérapie vaccinatoire. Ladite protéine mutante est une protéine où manquent une Glu en 22<SUP>ème</SUP> position, une Ala en 21<SUP>ème</SUP> position ou une Asp en 23<SUP>ème</SUP> position par rapport à une protéine d'amyloïde normale (de type sauvage) constituée respectivement de 40, 42 ou 43 acides aminés (Aß1-40, Aß1-42 ou Aß1-43).
