2095834 9208921 PCTABS00013 An underground pipeline or passageway (10) is lined by having a preliner tube (16) applied thereto by inflation, and the tube whilst inflated has an applicator (28) pulled therethrough from which a fluent curable or hardenable composition issues and is applied to the inside of the inflated tube to form a layer which cures or hardens to form a lining. Preferably a second tube (46) is applied to the inside of the composition layer to hold it in position whilst it cures or hardens.
