A technique for mass spectrometry includes: receiving first time domain data generated from a chromatographic output, the first time domain data including mass spectra; extracting second time domain data from the first time domain data, the second time domain data corresponding to a selected range of mass-to-charge ratios; transforming the second time domain data into frequency domain data; and identifying, as a function of the frequency domain data, an elution peak for a mass-to-charge ratio within the selected range. Material from the chromatographic output may thereafter be processed as a function of the identified elution peak.
La présente invention concerne une technique de spectrométrie de masse qui consiste à recevoir des premières données de domaine temporel produites à partir d'une sortie chromatographique, lesquelles données comportent des spectres de masse; à extraire des secondes données de domaine temporel à partir des premières données de domaine temporel, lesquelles secondes données de domaine temporel correspondent à une gamme sélectionnée de rapports masse sur charge; à transformer les secondes données de domaine temporel en données de domaine fréquentiel; puis à identifier, en fonction des données de domaine fréquentiel, un pic d'élution pour un rapport masse sur charge dans la gamme sélectionnée. Il est alors possible de traiter la matière de la sortie chromatographique en fonction du pic d'élution identifié.
