The use is described of boron compounds chosen from the group consisting of boron carbide and metal borides mixed with non-reinforcing fillers, with the proviso that at least 75% by weight of the non-reinforcing fillers are heat-stable up to 1200°C, as flameproofing agents in organopolysiloxane compositions which can be crosslinked to flame-resistant elastomers.
On décrit l'utilisation de composés du bore choisis dans un groupe composés du carbure de bore et de borures métalliques, mélangés avec des matières de charge non renforçantes, dont toutefois au moins 75 % en poids sont stables à des températures allant jusqu'à 1 200 degrés C; ces composés sont utilisés comme agents ignifuges dans des compositions d'organopolysiloxane qui peuvent être réticulées à des élastomères ignifuges.
