The invention relates to novel polynucleotides which encode novel polypeptides that are acetylcholine-gated chloride channel subunits and immunogenic or acetylcholine-binding fragments thereof. The novel polypeptides may be used for identifying compounds that modulate the acetylcholine-gated chloride channels, e.g. for use as pesticides and antiparasitic agents. Methods for identifying compounds that modulate the acetylcholine-gated chloride channels are provided.
Cette invention concerne de nouveaux polynucléotides codant de nouveaux polypeptides qui sont des sous-unités des canaux chlorure activées par l'acétylcholine, et leurs fragments immunogènes ou de liaison à l'acétylcholine. Les nouveaux polypeptides de l'invention peuvent être utilisés pour identifier des composés modulant les canaux chlorure activées par l'acétylcholine et utilisables, par exemple, comme pesticides ou antiparasitaires. L'invention concerne en outre des méthodes d'identification de composés qui modulent les canaux chlorure activées par l'acétylcholine.
