A composition and a method of producing a composition which simulates hydration, cleansing and other properties of native vernix. The composition contains hydrated synthetic cells in a lipid matrix to provide rheological properties which are substantially similar to those of native vernix, and may also contain proteins. In one embodiment, the composition contains cubosomes/water with up to 30 % protein and about 5 % lipid to about 30 % lipid. The composition may be used to cleanse newborn skin, compromised skin surfaces, as well as normal skin, to provide hydration/barrier function, and other applications.
L'invention concerne une composition et un procédé permettant d'élaborer une composition qui simule les fonctions d'hydratation, de nettoyage, entre autres, du vernix naturel. Ladite composition renferme des cellules synthétiques hydratées dans une matrice lipidique, offrant des propriétés sensiblement analogues à celles du vernix naturel, et elle peut également contenir des protéines. Selon une variante, la composition renferme des cubosomes/de l'eau, jusqu'à 30 % de protéines et entre environ 5 % et environ 30 % de lipides. Il s'agit d'une composition utilisable pour le nettoyage de la peau des nouveaux nés, des surfaces de la peau affaiblies, ainsi que de la peau normale, grâce à un apport en hydratation/barrière de protection, mais utilisable aussi pour d'autres applications
