The invention relates to a hybrid drive, particularly for a motor vehicle, comprising a combustion engine and a transmission (2) which is mounted behind the combustion engine (1) and can be driven by the same, an electric motor (3) that is associated with the transmission and is provided with an electrically driven rotor (9), by means of which the transmission can additionally be driven. The transmission encompasses a drive shaft (5) that is driven by the combustion engine and extends in the longitudinal direction of the transmission, an output shaft for driving a machine tool arranged behind the transmission or the drive wheels of a vehicle, and a plurality of manually or automatically shiftable gear stages for adjusting various transmission ratios between the drive shaft (4) and the output shaft. The electric motor is laterally and externally connected to the transmission such that the longitudinal axis and/or axis of rotation of the rotor (9) thereof extends parallel or substantially parallel to the drive shaft.
