An oxygen absorbing composition comprising a compound having a molecular weight of less than 10000 and bearing two or more ring structures of at least one kind wherein each ring structure contains an ether linkage, an oxygen absorption accelerator, and, if necessary, a gas barrier resin; and laminates each comprising a layer made of the composition.
