A turnbuckle attachment device which reduces slack when closing and locking the invention. Said Speed Link is essentially a cam-operated mechanism applied to timber cargo lashing technology. When said Speed Link is operated, it's length is shortened; thus, when operated in conjunction with cables, chains or web lashings the whole assembly is reduced in length. The primary function of slack reduction is achieved in a hitherto, unprecedented method; enabled by the creation of a newly invented metal device (fig 1) which attaches to a turnbuckle.
