It is intended to provide: (1) antiviral agents lowering or inhibiting the activity of an SR protein, more specifically speaking, (i) an antiviral agent promoting the dephosphorylation of an SR protein and (ii) an antiviral agent inhibiting a protein phosphorylating an SR protein; (2) an antiviral agent inhibiting the expression of an SR protein; and (3) an antiviral agent activating a protein having an opposite function to an SR protein. It is also intended to provide compounds which inhibit SRPK phosphorylating an SR protein. These compounds inhibit the activity of the SR protein and show an antiviral effect. Thus, antiviral agents which are efficacious against a novel virus and widely applicable and show a highly sustained effect are provided to cope with the occurrence of various novel viruses.

L'invention concerne: 1) des agents antiviraux qui diminuent ou neutralisent l'activité d'une protéine SR, plus particulièrement i) un agent antiviral promoteur de la déphosphorylation d'une protéine SR, et ii) un agent antiviral inhibant une protéine phosphorylant une protéine SR; 2) un agent antiviral inhibant l'expression d'une protéine SR; et 3) un agent antiviral activant une protéine présentant une fonction opposée à celle d'une protéine SR. L'invention concerne en outre des composés qui inhibent la SRPK phosphorylant une protéine SR. Ces composés neutralisent l'activité de la protéine SR et démontrent une activité antivirale. Ainsi, les agents antiviraux de l'invention, qui sont efficaces contre un virus nouveau, présentent un large spectre et un effet prolongé, sont mis au point pour faire face à l'apparition de divers virus nouveaux.
