The invention relates to the use of an effective amount of a coupling system (A) as an inorganic filler/elastomer coupling agent in rubber compositions comprising: (B) at least one natural or synthetic rubber elastomer, (C) an inorganic filler as reinforcing filler, (D) all or part of the other constituents or additives normally used particularly comprising (a) vulcanisation agent(s) the use being characterised in that: the coupling system (A) is a particular mixture of the following combination of ingredients (A1) and (A2): (A1) is at least one coupling agent selected from the following functionalised organosilicon compounds of formula (I): [(G0)3SiO1/2]m [(G0)2SiO2/2]n [G0SiO3/2]o [SiO4/2]p [(G2)a(G1)a'(Z-CO-N=N-CO-A)SiO(3-a-a')/2]g where the symbols Z, A, G0, G1, G2, a, a', m, n, o, p and q have the definitions given in claim 1, (A2) is at least one coating agent for the reinforcing filler comprising one compound with the single function Y in the structure thereof which is capable of bonding physically and chemically to inorganic filler and whereby, as a result of an increase in dispersion of the charge within the rubber matrix and a reduction in viscosity of the compositions, the use of raw compositions is made easier. Said coupling system (A) is incorporated in rubber compositors mad from isoprene elastomers.
Le domaine de l'invention est l'utilisation d'une quantité efficace d'un système (A) de couplage comme agent de couplage charge inorganique - élastomère dans les compositions de caoutchouc comprenant : (B) au moins un élastomère de type caoutchouc, naturel ou synthétique ; (C) une charge inorganique à titre de charge renforçante ; (D) tout ou partie des autres constituants ou additifs habituellement utilisés comprenant notamment un (ou des) agent(s) de vulcanisation ; ladite utilisation étant caractérisée en ce que : le système de couplage (A) consiste dans une association particulière résidant dans la combinaison des ingrédients (A1) et (A2) suivants : (A1) est au moins un agent de couplage choisi parmi les composés organosiliciques fonctionnalisés de formule (I) suivante : [(G0)3SiO1/2]m [(G0)2SiO2/2]n [G0SiO3/2]o [SiO4/2]p [(G2)a(G1)a'(Z-CO-N=N-CO-A)SiO(3-a-a')/2]g dans laquelle les symboles Z, A, G0, G1, G2, a, a', m, n, o, p et q possèdent les définitions indiquées dans la revendication 1 ; (A2) est au moins un agent de recouvrement de la charge renforçante consistant dans un composé, comprenant dans sa structure la seule fonction "Y", qui est capable de se lier physiquement et/ou chimiquement à la charge inorganique et est susceptible, grâce à une amélioration de la dispersion de la charge dans la matrice de caoutchouc et à un abaissement de la viscosité des compositions, d'améliorer la faculté de mise en AEuvre des compositions à l'état cru ; ledit système de couplage (A) est incorporé dans des compositions de caoutchouc à base d'élastomères isopréniques.
