A medicinal aerosol product having a blockage resistant metered-dose valve with a metal valve stem, particularly for use with CFC-free solution formulations using hydrogen-containing propellants, such as 134a and/or 227, and ethanol. The valve stem (10) has a reduced internal volume (40) and a constant internal diameter as compared to conventional deep drawn stems. The valve stems are preferably composed of stainless steel containing at least 11.5 % chromium and are preferably fabricated by machining the outside of the stem and drilling the central outlet and side port. The stems are preferably bright annealed and/or treated with nitric or citric acid.

L'invention concerne un article pour médicaments en aérosol qui possède une valve de dosage résistant au blocage et munie d'une tige de valve métallique. L'article est destiné tout particulièrement aux préparations à base de solutions exemptes de CFC utilisant des gaz propulseurs à base d'hydrogène tels que 134a et/ou 227 et de l'éthanol. En comparaison aux tiges de valve embouties couramment utilisées, cette tige de valve (10) possède un volume interne réduit (40) et un diamètre interne constant. Elle est faite de préférence d'un acier contenant au moins 11,5 % de chrome et est de préférence fabriquée par l'usinage de la partie extérieure de la tige et par le perçage d'une sortie centrale et d'un orifice latéral. Les tiges comportent de préférence un recuit brillant et/ou sont traitées avec de l'acide nitrique ou citrique.
