Hydroxynaphthyridinone carboxamides of formula (I): are described as inhibitors of HIV integrase and inhibitors of HIV replication, wherein L, R1a, R1b, R1c R2a, R2b, R3, R4 and R5 are defined herein. These compounds are useful in the prevention and treatment of infection by HIV and in the prevention, delay in the onset, and treatment of AIDS. The compounds are employed against HIV infection and AIDS as compounds per se or in the form of pharmaceutically acceptable salts. The compounds and their salts can be employed as ingredients in pharmaceutical compositions, optionally in combination with other antivirals, immunomodulators, antibiotics or vaccines. Methods of preventing, treating or delaying the onset of AIDS and methods of preventing or treating infection by HIV are also described.
L'invention porte sur des carboxamides hydroxynaphthyridinone de formule (I) qui s'avèrent être des inhibiteurs de l'intégrase du VIH et des inhibiteurs de la réplication du VIH, dans cette formule, L, R1a, R1b, R1c R2a, R2b, R<sp>3</sp>, R<sp>4</sp> et R<sp>5 </sp>étant tels que définis dans le descriptif. Ces composés sont utiles dans la prévention et le traitement de l'infection par le VIH et dans la prévention, le retard de l'apparition et le traitement du SIDA. Les composés sont utilisés contre l'infection du VIH et du SIDA comme des composés en soi ou se présentant sous la forme de sels acceptables d'un point de vue pharmaceutique. Ces composés et leurs sels peuvent être utilisés comme ingrédients dans des compositions pharmaceutiques, éventuellement en combinaison avec d'autres agents antiviraux, des immunomodulateurs, des antibiotiques ou des vaccins. L'invention porte également sur des procédés de prévention, de traitement ou de retardement de l'apparition du SIDA et sur des procédés de prévention ou de traitement de l'infection par le VIH.
