A pair of form keys and a method for forming reverse drafts (12) in foam parts are disclosed. A male form key (28) is reciprocally mounted in a first mold half (16) in a retracted position. A female form key (30) is rotatably mounted in a second mold half (22) in a neutral position. The first mold half includes a first drive pin (36) that when engaged, moves the male form key into engagement with a foam sheet (54) to form an undercut (12) as the first and second mold halves are closed. The first mold half also includes a second drive pin (44) that engages the female form key as the first and second mold halves close, rotating the female form key into engagement with the foam sheet and the male form key. After closure of the mold, the product is formed and the mold is opened.

Cette invention se rapporte à une paire de clavettes de formage et à un procédé de formage de contre-dépouilles (12) dans des pièces en plastique mousse. A cet effet, une clavette de formage mâle (28) est montée de façon à effectuer un mouvement alternatif dans une première moitié de moule (16) en position repliée. Une clavette de formage femelle (30) est montée rotative dans une seconde moitié de moule (22) en position neutre. La première moitié de moule comporte une première broche d'engagement (36) qui, une fois poussée, amène la clavette de formage mâle à s'engager dans la feuille de plastique mousse (54), afin de pratiquer une découpe (12), au moment de la fermeture des deux moitiés de moule. La première moitié de moule comporte également une seconde broche d'engagement (44) qui pousse la clé de formage femelle, lors de la fermeture des deux moitiés de moule, amenant ainsi par rotation la clé de formage femelle à s'engager dans la feuille de plastique mousse et à coopérer avec la clé de formage mâle. Après fermeture du moule, on procède à la formation du produit, puis à l'ouverture du moule.
