A compression connector for smooth walled, corrugated, and spiral corrugated coaxial cable includes an insulator disposed within the body, wherein the insulator contains a central opening therein which is dimensioned smaller than a collet portion, or second clamp, which seizes a center conductor of the coaxial cable. The connector also includes a first clamp disposed inside the body as well as a compression sleeve assembly. The body includes a transitional surface separating the body into two regions of different inside diameter. When an axial force is applied to the compression sleeve, the clamp is forced by the transitional surface into the body region having a smaller diameter, causing the clamp to squeeze onto an outer conductor layer of the coaxial cable. At approximately the same time, the collet portion is forced through the central opening, causing the collet portion to squeeze onto the center conductor.
La présente invention concerne un connecteur à comprimer pour câble coaxial à paroi lisse, ondulé et ondulé en spirale qui inclut un isolateur disposé à l'intérieur du corps, ledit isolateur contenant une ouverture centrale qui est dimensionnée de manière restreinte par rapport à une partie de pince, ou seconde attache, qui saisit un conducteur central du câble coaxial. Le connecteur inclut également une première attache disposée à l'intérieur du corps tout comme un ensemble manchon à comprimer. Le corps inclut une surface de transition séparant ce même corps en deux régions de différent diamètre intérieur. Lorsqu'une force axiale est appliquée au manchon à comprimer, l'attache est poussée par la surface de transition dans la région de corps possédant un diamètre inférieur, ce qui fait que l'attache appuie sur une couche conductrice externe du câble coaxial. À peu près au même moment, la partie de pince est poussée à travers l'ouverture centrale, ce qui fait que cette même partie de pince appuie sur le conducteur central.
