A process for producing a silane-crosslinked polyolefin which is characterized by melt-blending (i) a polyolefinic base polymer, (ii) a carrier polymer A containing an organic unsaturated silane and a free radical generating agent and containing substantially no water and (iii) a carrier polymer B containing a silanol condensation catalyst and an antioxidant, at a temperature higher than the crystal melting point of the base polymer to effect reaction, and then contacting the resulting reaction product with water to effect crosslinking. The process can provide a silane-crosslinked polyolefin excellent in extrusion processability as well as in crosslinking property, mechanical property and heat resistance.
L'invention porte sur un procédé de production d'une polyoléfine à réticulation silane consistant à effectuer la fusion-mélange: (i) d'un polymère à base polyoléfinique, (ii) d'un polymère support A contenant un silane organique insaturé et un agent générateur de radicaux libres et pratiquement exempt d'eau, et (iii) d'un polymère support B contenant un catalyseur de condensation du silanol et un antioxydant, et cela à une température dépassant le point de fusion du polymère de base, pour effectuer la réaction, puis à mettre en contact le produit résultant avec de l'eau pour effectuer la réticulation. Le procédé donne une polyoléfine à réticulation par du silane présentant d'excellentes propriétés en matière de capacité d'extrusion, de réticulation, de résistance mécanique et de résistance à la chaleur.
