The power supply (202) receives a single 15 volt DC supply (203) that is converted to a 320 volt DC supply (204), a 280 volt DC supply (205) and a 500 volt DC supply (206). The invention implements a Royer Oscillator by providing a transformer (210) with four windings (227, 228, 229, 230) each center-tapped. Two control transistors (217, 218) control the output of the transformer (210). The invention also provides a high speed output controlled start-up to prevent meta-stability in the Royer Oscillator.
