Contrast to the pre-art, this prawn trap presents itself as an opaque object with dark openings on the sea door, providing an ideal hiding and feeding spot for the usually timid prawns. When the two large deep mash cone entrances have released a concentrated scent from the inner bait jar into the current, it is irresistible for prawns to follow the scent and swim into the trap. The feeding activities of the prawns in the trap will release more scent and further enhance the attraction for other prawns to join in the feeding. When the trap is retrieved, the minimum water resistant is encountered as the trap is in its aerodynamic position.
