A communication system capable of establishing communications between a calling party and a mobile called party that is equipped with a two way pager. The calling party initiates an incoming call by dialing the called party's Personal Telephone Number. The call is coupled to an adjunct which holds the call while contacting the mobile party. The adjunct contacts the mobile party by cross referencing the dialed Personal Telephone Number to a pager code for the called party and then initiating the transmission of a paging signal. The paging signal alerts the called party to the incoming call at which time the called party responds by sending a return signal to the adjunct via the two way pager. The return signal includes a forwarding number corresponding to a communication device to which the adjunct directs the incoming call.
