Box (1) or blank and method for the manu- facture of a box of sheet material comprising a top part (6) and sides (3, 4). The box comprises at least two frangible or recessed areas (11), located on ei- ther side of the box and straddling the junction lines between the top part and the two opposite sides, and an elongated handle (16) secured at each end to said opposite sides, below the areas with respect to the top part. The handle extends opposite said areas and the top part portion located therebetween, so that when the handle is pulled at right angles to the lid, the han- dle engages into said areas.

Il s'agit d'une caisse ou un couvercle de caisse (1), d'un flan et d'un procédé de fabrication d'une caisse ou un couvercle de caisse de matière en feuille comportant une face supérieure (2), et des faces latérales (3, 4). La caisse ou le couvercle de caisse comporte au moins deux zones (11) frangibles ou évidées, situées respectivement de part et d'autre de la caisse ou du couvercle de caisse à cheval sur les lignes de jonction entre la face supérieure et deux faces latérales opposées et une poignée (16) allongée fixée de chaque côté sur lesdites faces latérales opposées, en-dessous des zones par rapport à la face supérieure, la poignée s'étendant en regard des zones et de la portion de face supérieure située entre les zones, de sorte que, lorsqu'on tire sur la poignée sensiblement perpendiculairement à la face supérieure, la poignée s'encastre dans lesdites zones.
