In heavy extrusion equipment where alignment with downstream equipment is necessary, adjustment means of the alignment is provided by providing means for adjusting the position of the extrusion die with respect to the extruder. In practice it is possible to provide a die with a split housing one part of which is adjustable with respect to the other, one of the die parts being fixedly connected to the extruder, or by providing a two part die, the parts of which are adjustable with respect to each other. The invention may be utilised for alignment of an extrusion die with downstream equipment such as tooling, tooling dies, sizing tables, etc. and also in corrugations for single and double walled pipe.
