A mold assembly includes a collapsible mount for releasably holding an insert within a mold cavity of the assembly in order to integrally form the insert with a molded article such as a tank liner. The collapsible mount includes a number of fingers secured to the mount and capable of being inserted through and expanded to engage the insert. The fingers are expanded after insertion through the insert by a core engageable with the fingers in order to securely hold the insert in position on the fingers of the mount and within the mold cavity. After formation of the article around the insert, the core can be disengaged from the fingers, which then move to a collapsed position such that the mount can be quickly withdrawn from within the insert and the mold cavity.
Le moule comprend un support pliable permettant de maintenir temporairement un insert à l'intérieur d'une cavité du moule de manière à former intégralement l'insert avec un article moulé, tel qu'une chemise de réservoir. Le support pliable comporte plusieurs axes fixés pouvant être insérés et faire saillie pour s'engager dans l'insert. Les axes sont déployés après avoir été enfilés dans l'insert au moyen d'une pièce centrale qui s'engage dans les axes afin de maintenir fermement l'insert en position sur les axes du support et à l'intérieur de la cavité du moule. Une fois l'article installé autour de l'insert, il est possible de désengager la pièce centrale des axes, lesquels se mettent en position repliée, de sorte que le support puisse être rapidement retiré de l'intérieur de l'insert et de la cavité du moule.
