An inflatable protective packaging for articles comprising a pair of adjacent flat bag chambers (22, 29) with an in- termediate inflation channel (24) there- between communicating at an inner end with the chambers (22, 29) and having an outer inflation opening (53) prefer- ably independently sealable for each bag chamber at the outer end of the chan- nel. The item may be formed as suc- cessive flat, servable units on a roll, or integrated with envelopes or boxes.
