Under low reservoir pressure in oil well bores, oil extraction is carried out by using pumping equipment, which activates submerged pump through up and down reciprocating sucker rods. Tubing rotators and rod rotators are utilized to increase the efficiency of this pumping equipment. The purpose of rod rotators is to prevent unwanted unscrewing of sucker rods, increase longevity of tubing and sucker rod strings that continually wear against each other, decrease deposits on the walls of tubing during the extraction of oil with high wax or paraffin content.
