A leadless current sensing device utilizes a pair of radially aligned Hall Effect Sensors to generate a current measurement for a conductor without knowledge of the distance between the probe and the conductor. The device has particular application to the automotive and truck assembly industry where current measurements at fixed points in an electrical system are required, but close tolerances on spacing of probes expensive.

Un dispositif capteur de courant sans fil comporte une paire de capteurs à effet Hall alignés dans le sens radial pour générer une mesure de courant d'un conducteur sans que la distance entre le capteur et le conducteur soit connue. Le dispositif est utilisé en particulier dans l'industrie d'assemblage de véhicules automobiles et de camions où il faut mesurer le courant à des points fixes d'un système électrique, et où il est coûteux d'obtenir des tolérances étroites d'espacement entre les capteurs.
