This invention relates to a method and apparatus for performing microwave assisted chemical reactions, in particular for performing microwave assisted organic synthesis reactions under nearly ideal heating and cooling conditions. The method according to the present invention comprises, supplying substances for a chemical reaction into a reaction chamber, which is adapted to withstand high temperature and pressure, applying microwave heating to initiate the chemical reaction and reach a desired temperature, and cooling the reaction mixture to a desired lower temperature by using adiabatic cooling. The invention also relates to an apparatus for performing the method and use of the method and apparatus for performing organic synthesis reactions.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil permettant de réaliser des réactions chimiques assistées par les micro-ondes, en particulier des réactions de synthèse organique assistées par les micro-ondes dans des conditions de chauffage et de refroidissement presque idéales. Le procédé de la présente invention consiste à fournir des substances pour la mise en oeuvre d'une réaction chimique dans une chambre de réaction, adaptée pour résister à une pression et une température élevées, à appliquer un chauffage par micro-ondes pour initier la réaction chimique et atteindre une température désirée puis à refroidir le mélange réactionnel à une température inférieure désirée par refroidissement adiabatique. Ladite invention concerne également un appareil pour la mise en oeuvre dudit procédé ainsi que l'utilisation de ces procédé et appareil pour réaliser des réactions de synthèse organique.
