A fishing rod (20) with a hollow shaft (22) that neither inhibits movement of the fishing line through the hollow shaft (22) nor succumbs to frictional wear resulting from movement of the fishing line against the interior wall of the hollow shaft (22). The hollow shaft (22) is made of a flexible material, such as fiberglass or graphite, and connected to a handle (24) having a fishing reel (26) oriented so that fishing line from the fishing reel is approximately aligned with and passes through the interior of the shaft. The interior surface of the hollow shaft (22) is coated with a smooth, wear resistant material (72). The lower portion of the first coating (72) is coated with a second material (74) that is resistant to abrasion caused by repeated movement of the fishing line. Both coatings minimize frictional interaction between the interior of the hollow shaft (22) and the fishing line moving therethrough.
Canne à pêche (20) comportant une tige creuse (22) et n'inhibant pas le déplacement du fil à travers ladite tige (22) ni n'étant soumise à une usure par friction provoquée par le déplacement du fil contre la paroi intérieure de ladite tige (22). La tige creuse (22) est fabriquée en matériau souple, tel que des fibres de verre ou de graphite et est reliée à un manche (24) pourvu d'un moulinet (26) orienté de telle façon que le fil sortant du moulinet est aligné approximativement sur la tige et passe à travers l'intérieur de cette dernière. La surface intérieure de la tige creuse (22) est revêtue par un matériau (72) lisse et résistant à l'usure. La partie inférieure du premier revêtement (72) est revêtue avec un deuxième matériau (74) résistant à l'abrasion provoquée par le déplacement répété du fil. Les deux revêtements ne produisent pas de réaction avec le fil, ce qui limite la friction réciproque entre l'intérieur de la tige creuse (22) et le fil qui se déplace à travers celle-ci.
