Abstract (D# 80,991-F) A process for welding plastics is disclosed. A first piece of weldable plastic is contacted with an alkylene carbonate- containing welding agent and a second piece of weldable plastic is contacted to the point at which the first piece was contacted with the alkylene carbonate-containing welding agent. A durable bond between the pieces of plastic is formed.
