ABSTRACT The present invention provides a method of modulating appetite and/or body weight in a subject, said method comprising administering to said subject an effective amount of a MIC-1-modulating agent, wherein said agent increases or decreases the amount of MIC-1 present in said subject, or inhibits or enhances the biological activity of MIC-1 present in said subject.
La présente invention a trait à un procédé de modulation de l'appétit et/ou de poids corporel chez un sujet, ledit procédé comprenant l'administration d'une quantité efficace d'un agent de modulation de la cytokine 1 inhibitrice des macrophages (MIC-1), ledit agent accroissant ou réduisant la quantité de MIC-1 présente chez ledit sujet, ou assurant l'inhibition ou le renforcement de l'activité de MIC-1 présente chez le sujet.
