A stub shaft assembly (30) comprising a stub shaft or axle (14) and a bearing assembly for rotatably supporting the stub shaft or axle (14), the stub shaft or axle (14) having or being connected to amain body having a radially extending body (15) defining inner ball races (16) and a pair of outer members (12) defining outer ball races (22) with ball bearings (13) disposed be-tween the inner and outer ball races (16, 22). In other embodiments the bearings are roller bearings. A conveyor idler roll is also disclosed which comprises a tubular shell mounted to a stub shaft assembly (30) at least at one end.
L'invention porte sur un ensemble arbre tronqué (30) qui comporte un arbre tronqué ou essieu (14) et un ensemble palier pour porter de manière rotative l'arbre tronqué ou essieu (14), l'arbre tronqué ou essieu (14) ayant un corps principal ou étant relié à celui-ci. Ledit corps principal présente un corps s'étendant radialement (15) définissant des chemins de roulement à billes internes (16) et une paire d'éléments externes (12) définissant des chemins de roulement à billes externes (22) avec des roulements à billes (13) disposés entre les chemins de roulement à billes internes et externes (16, 22). Dans d'autres modes de réalisation, les paliers sont des roulements à rouleaux. L'invention porte également sur un galet porteur de transporteur qui comporte une coque tubulaire montée sur un ensemble arbre tronqué (30) au moins à une extrémité.
