A description is given of oligomeric or polymeric siloxanes of the formula I Image (I) if X is a monovalent radical, or which are correspondingly crosslinked, if X is a polyvalent radical, whose repeating units are arranged randomly or in blocks, in which n is a number from the range 1-100; m is a number from the range 0-100; p is a number from the range 0-100; R1' ¦ A is a radical of the formula--O--Si--R1, preferably trimethylsilyloxy; ¦ R1" R11' ¦ B is a radical of the formula--Si--R11, preferably trimethylsilyl; or which are cyclic ¦ R11" compounds; and in which X is a chromophore of the hydroxyphenyl-diaryl-s-triazine type and the other symbols are as defined in claim 1. The compounds are suitable as stabilizers for organic material against damage thereto by light, oxygen and heat; and especially as stabilizers for coating materials.
