Proposed is a method and system designed to assure the smooth, rapid execution and automatic control of a tournament, the method comprising the following steps: a) the participants' names are announced and the participants called to take their turn in the tournament by means of one or more electronic displays (2) accessible to a number of potential participants; b) personal-identity data concerning the current participants are entered, up to a given number of participants, via a data-reading unit (3) linked to the display (2); c) the groups of participants playing against each other are arranged in order using a random-access technique; d) on completion of each match, the winner is announced; e) the groups of participants are arranged in order for the next round, and so on, until the final; f) one completion of the tournament, the results are analysed.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un système assurant le déroulement rapide et sans accroc de tournois et permettant d'automatiser leur organisation. A cet effet le procédé et le système comprennent les étapes suivantes: a) annonce et appel des participants au tournoi sur un ou plusieurs dispositifs d'affichage électronique (2) accessibles à plusieurs joueurs potentiels; b) entrée des données d'identification personnelle de chaque participant dans un dispositif de lecture de données (3) couplé au dispositif d'affichage (2) jusqu'à obtention d'un nombre déterminé de participants, c) répartition des groupes des participants devant s'affronter, selon un mode aléatoire; d) détermination des vainqueurs à l'issue de chaque partie; e) répartition des groupes de joueurs du tour suivant et ainsi de suite jusqu'à la finale; f) analyse des résultats à l'issue du tournoi.
