A method is provided for reformatting a web page that includes a number of hyperlinks. The page is received (814) by a browser, and before being presented is analyzed (826) to determine whether the hyperlinks meet vertical and horizontal spacing criteria. If the page is cluttered with hyperlinks (826), it is reformatted (830) and then presented (818). The reformatting may be done by introducing HTML tags (830) or using a cascading style sheet (928). Reformatting may also be done in response to a request submitted by a user (712) to the browser (708), to improve the appearance of the displayed web page.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de reformater une page web comportant un certain nombre d'hyperliens. Un navigateur reçoit (814) une page qui, avant d'être présentée, est analysée (826) afin de déterminer si les hyperliens satisfont ou non aux critères d'espacement vertical et horizontal. Si la page est encombrée d'hyperliens (826), on la reformate (830), puis on la présente (818). On peut effectuer le reformatage en introduisant des balises HTML (830) ou en utilisant une feuille du style en cascade (928). On peut également effectuer le reformatage suite à une demande soumise au navigateur (708) par un utilisateur (712) visant à améliorer l'aspect de la page web affichée.
