A connector (1) for facilitating a pressure-tight electrical connection through a well head comprises a hollow body (2) having upper and lower openings (3, 4), a bulkhead (12) provided in the body (2) and a conductor (18) removably held in the bulkhead (12) by a retaining plate (26). A portion of the conductor protrudes from the bulkhead (12) in the direction of the lower opening (4). The conductor (18) has an insulating layer (20) insulating the conductor from the bulkhead (12) and extending along part of the said protruding portion, forming a pressure barrier between the first and second openings (3, 4). Cable strands (34) are crimped to the pins (16) and the joins insulated by tape (40, 42). This construction allows one to fit the cable (30) to the pins before finally sealing the connector in place, which speeds up installation.
La présente invention concerne un connecteur (1) pour faciliter une connexion électrique étanche sous pression à travers une tête de puits qui comprend un corps creux (2) qui possède des ouvertures supérieure et inférieure (3, 4), une cloison (12) ménagée dans le corps (2) et un conducteur (18) maintenu de façon amovible dans la cloison (12) par une plaque de retenue (26). Une partie du tube conducteur fait saillie à partir de la cloison (12) dans la direction de l'ouverture inférieure (4). Le conducteur (18) comporte une couche isolante (20) qui l'isole de la cloison (12) et s'étend le long d'une partie de ladite partie en saillie, formant une barrière sous pression entre les première et seconde ouvertures (3, 4). Des torons de câble (34) sont sertis sur les broches (16) et les jointures isolées par une bande (40, 42). Cette construction permet d'installer le câble (30) sur les broches avant de sceller définitivement le connecteur en place, ce qui accélère l'installation.
