The invention discloses a non-lethal ammunition comprising a projectile (100) which comprises: a body (110) housing a container (130) capable of generating a pressurised gas, and a head (140) associated with a striking pin (154) capable of allowing the diffusion of an active agent upon impact, wherein the body (110) is located inside a case (50, 60) and either the container (130) or the striking pin is located on a slide (120) slidingly guided in the body (110). Means (117, 118, 119) are provided for preventing the slide (120) from moving so as to avoid the striking pin (154) and the container (130) coming together before the body (110) leaves the case (50, 60), and the body (110) of the projectile (100) comprises several holes (170) around its axis to enable an omnidirectional diffusion of the active agent.
