The present invention relates to an apparatus for carrying out an electrolytic process on a halogenide compound, in which apparatus several electrolytic cells are electrically connected in series, which electrolysis cells each comprise a cell element, provided with underlying supply pipes for supplying electrolyte and with collecting discharge pipes disposed near the upper side thereof for discharging electrolyte and the gases formed during the electrolytic process, a cathode compartment including a cathode and an anode compartment including an anode, and a diaphragm or semi-permeable membrane, in which the electrolytic cells have been pressed together between two end plates with a certain bias, so that each anode compartment and each cathode compartment is constructed as one unit together with the supply pipes and the collecting discharge pipes.
La présente invention concerne un appareil permettant de soumettre un composé halogénure à un processus électrolytique. Cet appareil comprend plusieurs cellules électrolytiques reliées en série qui comprennent chacune un élément de cellule comportant des tubulures d'alimentation sous-jacentes pour l'acheminement de l'électrolyte, des tubulures collectrices de décharge disposées près de la partie supérieure et assurant l'évacuation de l'électrolyte et des gaz formés pendant le processus électrolytique ; un compartiment cathode renfermant une cathode, un compartiment anode renfermant une anode ; et un diaphragme ou membrane semi-perméable, dans lequel les cellules électrolytiques ont été comprimées les unes contre les autres entre deux plaques d'extrémité sous contrainte, de telles sorte que chaque compartiment anode et chaque compartiment cathode forment un tout avec les tubulures d'alimentation et les tubulures collectrices de décharge.
